NO CHARGE! Normal Hours: 9 am to 9 pm, most days; Most Sundays: 10:20 am to 9 pm. LESS THAN ONE BLOCK FROM THE TEMPLE!
The new Nauvoo Martyrdom Museum at 1279 Mulholland in Nauvoo, Illinois, is a "no charge" historical site focused on the Martyrdom of Joseph and Hyrum Smith. Come and explore our stories about the early area and the Mississippi River, the settling of the Mormons, unique things about Nauvoo, prophecies of Joseph Smith, tensions with the locals, and the Martyrdom. We continue with the mob that combined to kill Joseph and Hyrum Smith, the story of the five men who stood trial for the crime, learn the incredible testimony of Eliza Jane Graham- the 18-year-old Mormon waitress who served the mob the night of the murders and testified at the trial against her customers the next year, and a mind-blowing prediction about Joseph Smith that most have never heard. We are right next door to where the Nauvoo Expositor building once stood. Privately owned and operated by Brian and Alane Stutzman, who live in Idaho Falls, Idaho, when not in Nauvoo. Brian and Alane are very active LDS, and Brian is a former YSA Bishop and current online BYU Pathways Institute Instructor.
